How to Help

Each year the St Vincent de Paul Society is supported by the generosity of individuals, churches, schools, community groups, corporations, philanthropic trusts and volunteers. The variety of support is invaluable and makes a significant difference to the people we assist.

In Canberra/Goulburn...

There are many ways that you can support the good works of the St Vincent de Paul Canberra/Goulburn Central Council.

Make a Bequest
You can support people in need by making a bequest to the Society in your will. Over the years we have been able to help so many people because of the generosity of those who have supported us through a bequest. For Further information phone (02) 6121 2954. Click here for more information on bequests

Make a Donation – Financial

You can direct your donation to a specific purpose or leave it to the discretion of the Central Council.
You can make a donation to the St Vincent de Paul Society online or by completing and returning the donation form to:

Vinnies welcomes your donations of household goods, clothing and personal items as there are many ways to help those in need.  Please drop off your donations at the Vinnies Centre near you. Our Vinnies Centres welcome donations of household and personal gifts. All proceeds from your gifts are used to assist those in need in your local community.

The goods you donate are repaired and cleaned where necessary, and offered to those who are in need. Where there is a surplus of goods of a particular kind, Vinnies Centres sell the surplus at reasonable prices to raise the funds needed to help those who need other forms of assistance.
